Cedar Park, Texas – A wave of unprecedented growth is washing over Cedar Park, a dynamic suburb just north of Austin, as it gears up for a landmark addition: a $95 million Marriott Hotel and Convention Center. This ambitious project is set to transform the city into a major tourist and business destination, solidifying its place on the Central Texas map.

A New Jewel in Cedar Park’s Crown

Slated to break ground on May 15 and open its doors by February 2027, the Cedar Park Marriott Hotel and Convention Center will be an impressive sight at 2155 Cedarview Drive. This seven-story, 297-room hotel, spanning over 210,000 square feet, will feature a full-service restaurant, a breakfast café, and an expansive pool area, offering guests a luxurious and convenient stay.

But it’s the attached 50,797-square-foot convention center that truly marks a new era for Cedar Park. This massive space will enable the city to host larger conferences, events, and gatherings, drawing visitors and economic activity from across the region and beyond. A three-story, 320-slot parking garage will also be part of the sprawling 382,207-square-foot construction site, ensuring ample access for guests and attendees.

Anchoring a Visionary Development
The Marriott project isn’t just a standalone hotel; it’s the anchor of a larger, visionary mixed-use development called CedarView. This expansive hub is designed to be a vibrant center of commerce, leisure, and lifestyle offerings, creating a comprehensive destination for residents and visitors alike.

“The City of Cedar Park is excited to see the realization of a long-standing strategic goal — a full-service hotel and convention center that will serve our community and attract visitors,” said Brenda Eivens, City Manager of Cedar Park. She emphasized the crucial partnership with NFM (Nebraska Furniture Market) and Great Lakes Capital, which has been instrumental in bringing this impressive project to fruition and establishing CedarView as a premier regional destination.

A City on the Rise
The confirmation of the Marriott project last month, spearheaded by Indiana-based real estate firm Great Lakes Capital in partnership with NFM and the City of Cedar Park, follows NFM’s earlier announcement of a 1.1 million-square-foot showroom also set to be completed by 2027 within CedarView. This dual-anchoring strategy signifies a robust commitment to Cedar Park’s future.

Ryan Rans, Managing Partner at Great Lakes Capital, expressed enthusiasm for the project, stating, “The development of this hotel and convention center in CedarView underscores our commitment to creating vibrant, connected communities that elevate the standard of hospitality.”

The Marriott and NFM showroom are just a few pieces of Cedar Park’s exciting growth puzzle. The area is also anticipating other significant developments, including a potential Trader Joe’s, a PopStroke (Tiger Woods-backed mini-golf course), and possibly a WorldSprings luxury spa and wellness resort.

With this influx of high-profile developments, Cedar Park is rapidly transforming from a quiet suburb into a bustling regional powerhouse, ready to welcome a new era of tourism, business, and community engagement.
