Transform Your Community: Become a Master Wellness Volunteer!

Did you know that chronic diseases like diabetes, high blood pressure, and high cholesterol are behind a staggering 86% of all U.S. health care spending? The good news is that education and simple lifestyle changes have the power to make a profound difference in the health and well-being of our neighbors.
The Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service in Williamson County is launching an exciting opportunity to be part of the solution by recruiting for its Master Wellness Volunteer (MWV) Program.
What Does an MWV Do?
Master Wellness Volunteers are trained health champions who help deliver life-changing education to local communities.
-
Training: Volunteers complete 40 hours of comprehensive training in vital areas like health, nutrition, and food safety.
-
Service: After training, volunteers commit to sharing their knowledge by supporting their communities through activities such as:
-
Healthy cooking demonstrations
-
Community presentations on wellness topics
-
Staffing booths at health fairs and wellness events
-
-
Local Impact: Volunteers work closely with Extension staff to tailor their efforts and meet the unique public health needs of Williamson County.
